Justice Informed Set Etiquette

In response to the systemic racism in the film industry, iMOVe, in collaboration with the CMML, created a Justice Informed Set Etiquette. This document, rather than just focusing on physical safety, as traditional set etiquette courses focus on, highlights the many ways in which crew -specifically heads of departments- can create a just and safe environment for BIPOC on set.

This set etiquette analyses the history of racism on film sets in Canada and in Nova Scotia to propose achievable alternatives to dealing with interpersonal problems that might occur on set. Additionally, it invites the reader to re-examine their unconscious biases in order to make a truly diverse and inclusive film industry.
